TAAN Pokhara organizes a day-hike program

Pokhara—Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN) Western Regional Association Pokhara has organized a hiking program in the northern hills of Pokhara on Friday.  

Pokhara Metropolitan City ward number 16, 19 and local tourism management committee assisted the program that aimed to explore, study, promotion and marketing of villages which are under shadow but has tourism potentiality.

According to TAAN WRA Pokhara Chairman Sushil Raj Poudel, the hiking went through Gharmi, Kurechaur, Dhikidanda, Mulachhani, Kotdanda, Jhuprangkot and Garyang homestay. Around 200 participants hiked during the program that also aimed sustainable promotion, conservation and development of villages and tourist areas.

Lawmaker and former minister Jagat Bahadur BK inaugurated the hiking program that included formal gathering at Dhikidanda and Jhuprangkot. Ward 16 chairman Jeevan Acharya also put his remarks during the program. TAAN WRA Secretary Milan Tiwari was master of ceremony and the program was coordinated by TAAN WRA executive member Gopal Krishna Sangraula.
