Bimala Bhandari elected FNJ Kaski president

Pokhara—Bimala Bhandari has been elected as president of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) Kaski on Thursday. She garnered 174 votes while her rival Keshav Sharan Lamichhane bagged 121 votes. Bhandari who secured 53 more votes than Lammichhane was the former vice president and the first-ever woman president of FNJ Kaski.

At the same time, Ram Prasad Timilsena became the vice president of the new committee. Similarly, Jamuna Barsha Sharma became victorious as vice president in the female side. Madhav Baral has been elected as a General Secretary and Shreeram Sigdel became joint secretary of that institution. Rem BK became another joint secretary from the inclusive category. Krishna Dawadi has been elected as treasurer.  

Sapana Adhikari, Bijay Nepali, Padam Shrestha, Jainab Khatun, Dhan Bahadur Gurung, Shivaraj Bastakoti, Kanchan Thapa, Gita Rana Magar, Prabhu Adhikari, Santosh Bashyal, Santosh Subedi, Hari Panta, and Yubaraj Gurung ‘Yunish’ have been elected as the member of FNJ Kaski.

Likewise, Raj Bahadur Gurung, Kamal Paudel Athak, Shayam Nath Kunwar, Arju Bista Salyani and Gangadhar Parajuli have been elected as the national councilor of FNJ.
