Pilot killed in Pokhara paragliding accident

Pokhara—A paragliding pilot has been killed during a tandem flight that was about to land at Camp Chowk in Pokhara on Monday. A passenger got a serious injury during the accident, confirmed Gandaki Province Police DSP Rajendra Babu Regmi.

The deceased has been identified as Raju Gaire Nepali, 38, of Pokhara Metropolitan City- 28 Kalika who had been living in Lakeside of Pokhara. Similarly, the injured Shila Shrestha, 28, is from Basuki of Kathmandu Bhudhanilakantha- 2.

Nepali took his last breath at Metrocity Hospital Pokhara following his rescue from the incident site. The cause of the incident has not been revealed. Police are investigating the incident
