Janakpurdham—At least three persons including a police officer were killed when a bomb went off at Mahendra Nagar of Dhanusha district on Friday night, informed Ilaka Police Office Mahendra Nagar.
Rajeshwor Shah, 45, his son Anand Shah, 15, and inspector Amir Dahal lost their lives during the incident that happened in Chhireshwor Nath- 5. Three persons- Shah’s youngest son Prem, 14, daughter Anjali and father Bhikhari, 70, injured during the incident. Shah duo were killed on the spot while Dahal succumbed to injury at hospital in Dharan.
According to information, a bomb was kept in a bag which was hanging in an iron gate. Then, Shah family informed police about the bag at 11 pm. It has been said that the bomb suddenly blasted as inspector Dahal tried to look into the bag. It has not been known who kept the bomb.
