Pokhara Street Festival from Dec 28

Pokhara—Restaurant and Bar Association Nepal (REBAN) Pokhara is to organize the 21st Pokhara Street Festival (PSF) from 28 December 2019 to 1st January 2020 at Lake side of touristy town Pokhara.

Holding a press meet in Pokhara on Wednesday, festival coordinator and REBAN Pokhara vice chairman Laxman Baral made clear that the preparation of the festival had already been set out. The street festival mainly focuses on food, music and culture. According to coordinator Baral, the festival has set a culture that Pokhara is gradually becoming a destination of New Year and Christmas celebration among the visitors.

According to REBAN Pokhara immediate past President Chau Bahadur Gurung, the festival will bring many cultural programs together in Pokhara from all seven provinces of Nepal. The festival will take place in 3 km distance of Lakeside road.

REBAN Pokhara also hopes that the PSF will be supportive in making the upcoming Visit Nepal Year 2020 a successful campaign. REBAN Pokhara has already formed a organizing committee where young tourism entrepreneurs Naresh Bahadur Bhattarai and Basanta Gautam are holding the post of joint coordinator.

Cultural programs from India and Pakistan, cultural shows that are on the verge of extinction, food festival in streets, sports program, exhibition of handicrafts, documentary shows related to adventure tourism, kids zone, comedy shows, live concerts and duet songs also are the attractions of the festival which is being promoted by Nepal Tourism Board.

At the same time, Pokhara Tourism Council Chairman Chirinjibi Pokharel, REBAN Pokhara advisor Ganesh Bahadur Bhattarai, another advisor Surya Bahadur Bhujel and FNJ Kaski chairman Dipendra Shrestha also put their remarks during the press meet chaired by REBAN Pokhara president Bhimsen Bhujel.
