Pokhara—Dinnath Baral has been elected as the chairman of the Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF) Gandaki on Saturday. Baral garnered 29 votes to defeat his only Rival Ranjan Adhikari Chhetri who secured only 20 votes, 9 votes less than Baral. A total of 55 members were eligible for voting.
The 3rd annual general meeting and 2nd convention of NSJF Gandaki unanimously elected other executives of the new committee. Suraj Shrestha became vice-chairman while Rajaram Paudel has been selected as general secretary. Shahi Kumar Paudel and Kaveeta Gharti Magar were given the responsibility of secretary and treasurer respectively.
Deepak Raj Mulmi, Narayan Shahi, Umesh Pun, MB Astha and Raju Giri were elected as members of the new committee, informed election committee coordinator Sarita Timsina Pageni.
