REBAN Pokhara to host Mini Street Festival on Sept 27

Pokhara—Restaurant and Bar Association Nepal (REBAN) Pokhara is to organize a Mini Street Festival 2021 on September 27 on the street of Lakeside in Pokhara. REBAN Pokhara has been coming up with such a festival for few years on the occasion of World Tourism Day every year.

According to REBAN Pokhara Chairman Laxman Baral, the key motto behind this festival is spreading the message that the Pokhara is open. As Nepal including an entire world is reeling under Covid- 19 pandemic, District Administration Office Kaski has just lifted the prohibitory order and lockdown that were imposed to curb the Coronavirus in this district.

The festival is to be organized from 5 pm to 10 pm on the street from Barahi Chok to Khahare. Varieties of foods, Cultural shows, live concerts of Lakchhya Band, Tharu Jhumra dance, other local cultural performances, Sarangi playing and the show of documentary would be the major attractions of the festival. Some envoys and their spouses are also going to visit the festival, chairman Baral confirmed in a press meet organized by REBAN Pokhara.

Addressing the press meet, Pokhara Tourism Council Chairman Gopi Bahadur Bhattarai said that the entrepreneurs initially would like to focus on domestic tourism to revive the tourism hard-hit by pandemics. At the same time, he underlined on City to city and province to province visits including implementation of the government-paid holidays.

Nepal Tourism Board Gandaki Manager Nabin Pokhrel and REBAN Pokhara former Chairman Chau Bahadur Gurung also put their remarks during a press meet run by REBAN Pokhara secretary Visma Raj Paudel.
