Batas Foundation to establish Oxygen Plant in Pokhara

Ananda Raj Batas and the Batas foundation are taking an initiation to establish oxygen plant in Pokhara.

Pokhara— More than Rs 30 million have been committed from various social organizations, business communities, and individuals to establish an oxygen plant in the premises of Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences-Western Regional Hospital Pokhara.

As Nepal is reeling under Covid- 19 pandemic and numbers of patients died due to oxygen lacking in their beds, the Batas Foundation has come up with an idea of oxygen plant and is collecting funds from different sectors to establish this plant. Batas Organization Chairman Ananda Raj Batas is leading this project. Batas and the foundation donated more than Rs 5 million to this project. The total investment to establish this plant has been projected Rs 50 million.

Persons or organizations who wish to donate could deposit supporting funds in Batas Organization- Global IME Bank Pokhara-  6501010000477. Batas said that the program is common for all people from Pokhara and the oxygen that the plant generates could also be supplied to all over Nepal.

Autoways Pvt. Ltd director Narayan Prasad Poudel, Saleways Department Store proprietor Sushil Pradhanang, KC Group-established by Surya Bahadur KC, Super Madi Hydropower Project Promoter Pushpa Jyoti Dhungana, Quality Aggregate Proprioter Dev Bahadur Jwarchan, and B River Mining Pvt. Ltd. will donate Rs 2.5 million each to the plant. Everest FM 93.00 Pokhara is cooperating locally to collect the funds for the plant.
