Nepal, Rawal suspended from CPN-UML

Pokhara—CPN UML has suspended its senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal and vice-chairman Bhim Rawal from party membership for six months. Party chairman KP Sharma Oli has sent a letter to leader Nepal and Rawal informing the punishment.

The letter states that the leader duo involved in anti-party activities. At the same time, they have been accused of forming various parallel committees in the name of UML. Earlier, chairman Oli has asked for clarification from both the leaders following the reinstatement of CPN-UML by the apex court.  

Chairman Oli has written that the letter is the last chance for Nepal and Rawal to correct them. Leader Nepal has called a gathering of his faction following his suspension from UML. Suspended leader Nepal has said that he will not leave the ground and will fight inside the party denying his suspension. Leader Rawal termed the punishment illegal.
