Pokhara—The Paschimanchal Hotel Association Pokhara (PHAP) has welcomed the government decision that waived the electricity demand charge for the hotel industry.
Issuing a press release Thursday, PHAP Chairman Bikal Tulachan thanked the government on behalf of his organization for this decision. According to the decision recently taken by the meeting of the council of ministers, the electricity demand charge during the lockdown period will be fully exempted but there will be collected only 50 percent such charge for the period of Ashoj 1 to the last of Magh.
According to chairman Tulachan, the discount in demand charge makes the entrepreneurs feel relief to some extent.
