Pokhara–The Village Tourism Promotion Forum (VTOF)- Nepal Gandaki has announced three new tourist destinations during its 6th annual general meeting in Pokhara on Tuesday. The AGM was held through video conferencing due to Covid- 19 pandemic.
VTOF Gandaki founding Chairman Taranath Pahari declared three villages as rural tourist destinations during the meet. Tutepani of Tanahun, Bhuka Deurali of Parbat and Righa of Baglung districts are among the announced homestay villages.
At the same time, Prakash Gurung of Tangting village was nominated coordinator from Kaski district to extend the VTOF in all districts of Gandaki Province. Similarly, Kathmandu based journalist and columnist Amrit Bhadgaonle was announced as a village tourism ambassador of Gandaki Province during the AGM.
Gandaki Province Tourism Minister Bikash Lamsal inaugurated the AGM giving a short speech. At the same time, Gandaki Province Visit Year coordinator Juddha Bahadur Gurung, province tourism branch chief Dilliram Rijal, Nepal Tourism Board chief Kashi Raj Bhandari, Pokhara Tourism Council chairman Chirinjibi Pokhrel, VTOF Nepal chairman Dhurba Simkhada and Tara Gaun Bikash Committee member Shiva Lamichhane also put their remarks during the program.
VTOF Gandaki chairman Nabaraj Adhikari thanked all the invitees for their presence in the meeting. VTOF Gandaki vice-chairman Surya Nath Pahari welcomed all the guests and secretary Madhav Paneru was the master of ceremony.
