Pokhara Street Festival begins

Pokhara—The 21st Pokhara Street Festival 2076 has kicked off in Pokhara on Saturday. The five-day long event is taking place in the street of Lakeside. Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Kumar Bhattarai inaugurated the festival amid of various cultural and ethnic rallies.

The festival aims to lure domestic and international tourists to celebrate the English New Year.  Culture, food and music are the key attractions of the festival, informed organizer Restaurant and Bar Association Nepal (REBAN) Pokhara vice chairman and event coordinator Laxman Baral. According the REBAN Pokhara Chairman Bhimsen Bhujel, live concerts, documentary shows, children park, duet songs and business stalls are also the part of the festival.

At the same time, Gandaki Province assembly member Rajiv Pahari, Pokhara Metropolitan City Mayor Man Bahadur GC and Pokhara Tourism Council Chairman Chirinjibi Pokhrel also put their remarks during the opening ceremony held at Komagane Park that situates in the shores of Fewa Lake.
