URL marks 6th anniversary

Pokhara–United Reference Laboratory (URL) Pvt. Ltd has marked its 6th anniversary in Pokhara on Tuesday. Minister for Social Development Nar Devi Pun inaugurated the program.

At the same time, Minister Pun and URL Chairman Sushil Thapa jointly felicitated Pokhara based journalist Surendra Paudel with URL Journalism Award in the program. Journalist Paudel bagged Rs 15,000 at that moment. He is the editor of Arthik Awaj and a reporter of Arthik Abhiyan newspapers. URL Damauli staffer Aashis Shrestha was also felicitated with Best Staff Award during the program.

Speaking at the program, minister Thapa thanked URL and appriciated for its contribution in the sector of free health camps’ organization. Similarly, Gandaki Medical College Principal Dr. Rabindra Prasad Shrestha said that the quantifiable lab service plays an important role in diagnosing the diseases and health problems.

URL Chairman Thapa said that his organization is in the mission of making Gandaki a self dependent province in blood check up. Similarly, URL Managing Director Thakur Prasad Pantha informed that more than 58,000 persons have been received free service from URL within the period of six years.

Association of Private Health Institutes of Nepal Chairman Ashok Palikhe, FNJ Kaski Chairman Dipendra Shrestha, Journalist Hari Bastola, URL in charge Bhupendra Raj Pandey and journalist Anisha Shrestha also put their remarks during the program.
