Panchthar—A masked group have assassinated nine persons of two family at Aarubote of Miklajung Rural Municipality- 3 in Panchthar district last night. Expert officers from various police offices have been deployed to investigate the incident.
According to Nepal Police Spokesperson DIG Bishwo Raj Pokhrel, a team of police led by Federal Unit Police Office Koshi SP Sharat Khatri including trained dogs have reached to the Miklajung. Local people knew about the incident in the morning.
As per the information, nine members of Dhanraj Sherma and his father in law Bam Bahadur Phiyak’s family were murdered using a sharp weapon. The dead bodies of former’s family members found inside the house while latter’s family members’ bodies were seemed inside and outside the house.
Jasmita Phiyak, 36, Dhanraj Sherma, 41, Mankumari Phiyak, 26, Iksha Sherma, 6, Yobana Sherma, 13, Muna Sherma, 8, Bam Bahadur Phiyak, 74, his wife and Ashika Khajum Limbu are among the dead. 12-year-old Sita Khajum remained success to flee the incident site.
In this context police have found a dead body of a person who killed himself and have been suspected to be a alleged killer of those two family members. A team of province police also recovered knife, its cover, clothes with blood stains and a bag near that body which is of Man Bahadur who is the youngest son in law of Bam Bahadur Phiyak. The cause of incident has been guessed to be a matter of money.
