Pokhara—The 10th CAN Info-Tech 2019 in association with IMPE Pay have kicked off at Pokhara Exhibition Center in Nayabazaar of Pokhara on Monday. Gandaki Province Internal Affairs and Law Minister Hari Bahadur Chuman inaugurated the infotech organized by the Federation of Computer Association Nepal (CAN) Kaski.
Addressing the program, minister Chuman said that the IT sector was leading the 21st century. He further claimed that the government has put IT sector in priority and is going to build a province IT Park in Pokhara. At the same time, CAN chairman Hemanta Chaurasia said that the infotech would be helpful for the development of the IT sector.
Pokhara Chamber of Commerce and Industry chairman Damu Adhikari, CAN Gandaki chairman Chintamani Bastola, CAN Kaski chairman Yubaraj Paudel, Vianet Pokhara chief Krishna Subedi, Inland Revenue Office Pokhara tax officer Bijay Lamichhane, CAN Kaski vice chairman Bishwas Bhandari and CAN Kaski secretary Bikash Bhurtel including others put their remarks during the opening ceremony.
According to program chairman and CAN Kaski president Yubaraj Paudel, comprehensive IT exhibition, province level typing competition, IT quiz, computer and laptop maintenance in free of cost, laptop exchange offer, mobile gaming, ICT related instruments’ exhibition and mobile exhibition are the key attractions of the info-tech. The province level event is going to be concluded in March 9.
According to secretary Bhurtel, Vianet is the main sponsor of the info-tech that is being associated with IME Pay and the event is supported by the Kangaroo Education Foundation. Prabhu Insurance is the insurance partner and TP Link Traders is the IT security partner of the event.
