Kamal Bhandari won the title of ITF tennis tournament

Pokhara—Defending champion Kamal Bhandari won the title of NIC Asia Bank Nepal ITF Seniors World Ranking Tennis Tournament Grade IV above 35 year of single, in Pokhara on Tuesday.

Defeating Dilip Mohanty 6-4 and retired hurt, Kamal collected 60 points. Even last year, Kamal had won the title beating Mohanty in ITF grade V. But Mohanty and Abhinas Kunwar became champions beating Swarnadeep Singh and Dharam Bahadur Lamichhane in a straight set of 6-1 and 6-1 above 35 year’s doubles category. Both the winning members got 60 points each.

Above 55 year doubles, Pawan Jain and Manjoj Samsher Rana beat Arun Agrawal and Murthati Suresh in a straight set of 6-1 and 6-2. Likewise, Narayan Murti will take on Amrit Karki above 45 in single category. Similarly, Kamal Thapa will take on Krishna Raj Ghale above 55 year in single category, informed organizer Kaski District Tennis Association secretary Nabin Chalise.
