Pokhara—United Reference Laboratory and its Managing Director Thakur Prasad Panta have been honored with a Vibrant Roche User Award in a Roche User Meet 2018 held in Kathmandu on Monday.
Diagno Tech Support Pvt. Ltd. and Roche Company felicitated Panta and URL for their contribution in the society. Felicitated URL MD Panta said that the respect he got would make him more responsible to contribute the society with more developed and modern technology of URL. He also claimed that the URL has carried out some important laboratory tests that couldn’t be performed even by Kathmandu base some high-tech labs. Alka Hospital’s Naba Raj Thapa also was felicitated with Prominent Roche User Award and Dharan’s Rajendra Mohan Chaudhary was felicitated with All-rounder Roche User Award during the ceremony.

Just to name few: Cyfra 21.1 for Non Small Cell Lung Cancer detection, NT pro BNP for left ventricular heart failure, HE4 for Ovarian Cancer , Procalcitonin as a predictive marker for Sepsis .
Five different works on the operation of Roche machine, laboratory test and qualitative reports had been presented during the program. URL lab in-charge Bhupendra Raj Pandey presented a paper on innovative biomarkers in the program which was addressed by Diagno Tech chairman Jyoti Thapa, Roche Company’s Dr. Deepika Jindal, Bishnu Saktawat and Diagno Tech promoter Sushil Thapa.
