Pokhara—Ten year old Shriya BK who was missing since yesterday has been found dead at Kodi of Pumdi Bhumdi in Pokhara Metropolitan City- 22, at around 8 am on Tuesday morning.
According to District Police Office Kaski, the girl had gone out of her home to buy some biscuits on Monday evening at around 6pm but she didn’t return home later. Local people informed police about her dead body as it found in a bushy ravine nearby a home she had been living, this morning at around 8 am.
There are some wounds in her forehead and she has been believed to be murdered by using stone blows. Some blood stains were spotted in and around her body that was said to be naked in the down part. She had been living with her mother in her maternal uncle’s home as her father married another woman. BK was a student of grade 3 in Lila Basic School.
According to Ward Police Office Baidam- Pokhara DSP Nabin Karki, the body has been sent to hospital for postmortem and detail including whether it was rape or not would be known as report prepared. Local have claimed that she was murdered following her raping.
