Pokhara—At least six Nepali workers killed and 16 other injured due to the alcohol poisoning in various places of Selangor state of Malaysia, the Embassy of Nepal, Kuala Lumpur confirmed.
According to press statement released by embassy, deceased have been identified as Bhim Bahadur Ghale of Dhading, Ram Kumar Yadav of Rupandehi, Bishal Budhathoki of Dadeldhura, Sanjay Uraw of Sunsari, Balbahadur Kulung of Ilam. And Aaita Singh Gole’s identity is yet to be cleared. Bhim dead in Kajang Hospital and other took final breath in Sungai Buloh Hospital. The death occurred in between 5 pm of September 17 and 9 am of September 19.
Similarly, Lunga Nath Magar of Sankhuwasabha, Jit Bahadur Majhi of Sindhuli, Prabin Tharu of Bardia, Durga Bahadur Rai of Sunsari and Bhagiman Dangi of Rolpa are receiving treatment in Kajang Hospital. Radheshyam Baitha of Bara, Durga Singh Rana of Nawalparasi, Set Bir Tumbappo of Panchthar, Jambir Lal Jhangad of Morang, Ramchandra Lodh of Rupandehi and Lok Bahadur Baram of Gorkha have been admitted in Sungai Buloh Hospital. Rikha Man Syangtan of Sarlahi is in Klang Hospital. The identity of Saru Magar who is getting treatment in Banting, Sukul Ghising, Rajesh Kumar and Bimal Karki who are getting treatment in Sungai Buloh Hospital is yet to be known.
According to press statement, Kumar Raj Pokhrel, the acting Nepali Ambassador in Malaysia and embassy officials have visited those hospitals and knew about the condition of Nepalese patients. Now the embassy is cooperating with local police and respective employer companies to send the dead body to Nepal following the postmortem.
