France knock out Messi’s Argentina 4-3 in a sensational clash

Pokhara—France thrashed Argentina 4-3 in a sensational clash of FIFA World Cup’s first knock out match and entered quarter final, in Russia this evening. France’s Antoine Griezmann scored an opening goal from a spot kick in 13th minute.

But Argentina’s Angel Di Maria leveled the score in 41st minute. The scoring run of Argentina was still on and added another goal in 48th minute. Gabriel Mercado contributed to make the score 1-2. But France did it again in 57th minute to shock the Lionel Messi’s squad. Benjamin Pavard scored in 57 Minute to equal the score of 2-2.

France continued the scoring race and added two other goals in 64th and 68th minute. Kylian Mbappe contributed for France for that. The 90+3 minute’s goal by Sergio Aguero of Argentina was not enough even for equalizer.

The four time world cup winner Germany have already been out from round of sixteen and the two time winner Argentina (1978 and 1986) became the victim of one time winner France (1998). Uruguay will take on Portugal in 11.45pm this evening.
