At least 14 killed in Palpa bus plunge

Pokhara—At least 14 persons were died and 13 other injured when a passenger bus met with an accident in Nepal’s Palpa district this morning. The Lu 1 Kha 975 bus was heading for Rampur from Tansen of Palpa and fell off the road as it arrived at Humin of Rabha Rural Municipality- 4.

According to Chief District Officer Palpa Bishnu Prasad Dhakal, 12 passengers were dead in spot. He further added that the rescue operation is undergoing and injured passengers have been rushed to Mission Hospital and Lumbini Medical College. The number of death could rise as some of the injured are in critical condition, informed Palpa DSP Binod Ghimire. The bus was being traveled by the 27 staffers of Tansen, Palpa based Laxmi Saving and Cooperative.
