By Rup Narayan Dhakal : District Police Office Kaski Chief SP Ashok Singh asked all the hotel owners of Pokhara to install CCTV Cameras in the front side of their hotels. Addressing a security interaction organized by Paschimanchal Hotel Association Pokhara (PHAP) in Pokhara on Monday, SP Singh stressed on a need of such cameras to maintain the security of Pokhara and whole the Kaski. According to SP Singh, some of the hotels have installed such cameras inside their hotels but not in the forefront.
SP Singh further said that the Kaski police had arrested number of notorious accused from Pokhara and had handed over to respective district. ‘I would not let them Pokhara as their shelter.’ he claimed. He also requested hoteliers to inform about suspicious activities of guests if happened in their hotels.
He ordered Ward Police Office Baidam Chief DSP Nabin Karki to carry out operation against the pubs and discotheques that spread noise pollution. As entrepreneurs complained about the noise pollution in some of the pubs and the bars running without proper sound proof system, SP Singh vowed to curb such misdeed.
Similarly, he also said that he would not let heavy tourist vehicles to pick tourists from their staying hotel gate. SP Singh also ordered DSP Karki to stop the entry of such vehicles to the Lakeside. As entrepreneurs expressed dissatisfaction over the disturbance and parking problem by heavy vehicles in Lakeside, DPO Kaski Chief Singh made that ordering in the interaction program. Saying that almost all the taxis in Kaski district should be plied basing on meter system, SP Singh asked all the hoteliers to support this meter campaign to make the program success.
