Pokhara—Almost all the preparation of 15th Fewa New Year Festival has been concluded, informed organizer Paschimanchal Hotel Association Pokhara (PHAP) Chairman and festival coordinator Bikal Tulachan in a press meet held at Komagane Park which is the venue of the festival that starts from Wednesday.
The five-day long festival aims the promotion of Pokhara as well as the conservation of Nepali culture. A total of 40 stalls including 10 food stalls would be installed in the festival, informed PHAP General Secretary Ganesh Raj Pahari. With a motto Let’s Save Fewa Lake, the festival includes the attractions like boat race, tourist race, cultural shows, food festival, children park, duet songs, pop concert and dance competition.
The festival expects some 1 lakh tourists. Senior tourism entrepreneur Ganesh Bahadur Bhattarai, Pokhara Tourism Council Chairman Kedar Nath Sharma and PHAP immediate past president Bharat Raj Parajuli expressed their views during the press meet..
