Pokhara—Hotel Sarowar Pokhara and Swiss International Hotels and Resorts (SIHR) have formally signed a management contract in Lake City on last Saturday. Hotel Sarowar Chairman and CEO Prof. Dr. Bharat Raj Pahari and SIHR CEO Henri Kennedie have exchanged the MoU during the signing in ceremony moderated by Sarowar Director Dr. Mohan Pahari.
As per the agreement, the SIHR group will take over operation of the hotel following the agreement between two groups and will reflag the hotel as Swill International, Hotel Sarowar, Pokhara Nepal. CEO Henri highlighted about his group and shared his experiences in hospitality sector during the ceremony.
Located just steps away from the Lakeside main street, Hotel Sarowar building is the fusion of Nepali and contemporary architecture with modern amenities. The hotel has 96 cozy guest rooms including suites, royal deluxe and deluxe rooms. World class spa, yoga and fitness center, 7 meeting halls, three restaurants, heated swimming pool and whirlpool and souvenir shop also are available at the this hotel.
According to CEO Prof. Bharat Raj Pahari, Hotel Sarowar began the journey in the early 70,s as a family owned small guest house in Lakeside Pokhara and was upgraded during 80,s as modern guest house with solar heated shower. He claimed that the same family has been doing hospitality business for more than 45 years now.
Climate responsive design, recycle of waste, solar energy as primary source, environment friendly construction materials, geo thermal heating and cooling for air conditioning and bio gas generation from the organic waste are also the specialties of the hotel building.
Sarowar director Dr. Mohan Pahari informed that they are planning to open that hotel by the end of June 2018. The hotel with whole property was established with an investment of 13 million USD.
