Nanda Bahadur Pun reelected in Vice President

Kathmandu—Nanda Bahadur Pun has been unanimously elected in Vice President of Nepal today. It is his consecutive 2nd term that he was unanimously reelected in VP. No candidate from any other party has filed the candidacy on VP made Pun the way clear to become the deputy head of the state.

However the official declaration would be done tomorrow. Pun was proposed in VP by CPN-UML leaders Subas Chandra Nembang, Bhanubhakta Dhakal, Parshuram Meghi Gurung, CPN-MC leaders Pampha Bhusal and Rekha Sharma. At the same time, he was seconded by CPN-MC Dev Gurung, Onsari Gharti, Jaypuri Gharti, Ram Narayan Bidari and Rajendra Prasad Gautam.

Main opposition Nepali Congress didn’t file the candidacy though it had registered candidacy for the post of President. Speaking to mediapersons, VP Pun said that he would be committed for national sovereignty, national integrity and the conservation of constitution.
