Kalika Battalion of APF wins volleyball title

Winner Kalika Battalion of APF

Pokhara—Kalika Battalion A of Armed Police Force won the title of 2nd Abhiyan Men’s Volleyball Tournament 2074 here in Pokhara on Sunday. Kalika defeated Pokhara Volleyball Training Center Nadipur in straight sets of 25-17, 26-24 and 25-19 at the court of Malepatan Chaur.

Winner Kalika received Rs 50,000 and runner up Pokhara Volleyball Training Center Rs 30,000. Pragatishil Youth Club Sindhuli got the prize of disciplined team. Rupendra Nepali of PVTC as best spiker, Krishna Chudhary of Kalika Battalion as best server, Nur Bahadur Rana of same battalion as best lifter and Madan Gurung of KB as best defense were also given the prize during the concluding ceremony, informed tournament coordinator Jaya Prakash Thapa.

PVTC Sunil Ghamal got the prize of best blocker. Kul Bahadur Karki of APF got the prize of best player. Orthopedist of Metro City Hospital Dr. Bharat Khatri including other distributed the prize in the ceremony chaired by Abhiyan Club President Mohan Bahadur KC. Club secretary Raju Giri was master of ceremony.
