Pokhara—On the occasion of 108th International Women’s Day, the Women Tourism Entrepreneurs Fourum (WOTEF) has carried out a hiking program from Thulakot to Begnas Lake in Pokhara Lekhnath Metropolitan City (PLMC) on Thursday.
A total of sixty participants including tourism entrepreneurs, Nepal Tourism Board representative and media persons took part in the hiking that started from Okhle- Majhthan of PLMC- 28 and went through Deumadi, various villages and jungle to reach Begnas Lake. Participants also observed six lakes- Rupa, Begnas, Maidi, Dipang, Khaste and Phewa from Deumadi.
The Program was inaugurated by Nepal Tourism Board Pokhara Chief Surya Thapaliya in Hallan Chowk. Meantime, giving a short speech, Thapaliya appreciated the initiation taken by WOTEF for the promotion of tourism especially in Royal Trek area.
WOTEF President Jamuna Parajuli thanked all the participants for making the promotional program very success and informed that her organization will carry out such program in the future too. She also said that women tourism entrepreneurs will work for their best for the development and promotion of tourism from their side. WOTEF Secretary Uma Regmi was the master of the ceremony.
