NPC thrash Jhapa XI

Pokhara—Nepal Police Club entered quarterfinals of 16th Aaha Rara Football Tournament. Defeating Jhapa XI Football Club 1-0, NPC confirmed date with Manang Marshyangdi Club in last quarter final match that will take place on January 30.

Suman Lama scored solitary goal in 13 minute to advance APF in quarters. Lama took control the ball from the center of the ground and converted it to the goal in his solo effort, collapsing the defense line of the Jhapa.

NPC coach Anata Raj Thapa said that his team remained failed to score as much as he expected however he expressed his happiness that his team won the match. Jhapa XI coach Pravesh Katuwal blamed the new players and their lack of experience for his team defeat. Uttar Barindhara Club Bangladesh will take of Far Western XI in tomorrow’s first quarter final match that will take place in Pokhara Stadium.
