Four killed in Salyan bus plunge

Pokhara—At least four persons were killed and 21 other injured when a bus plunged at Bhatkhola in Triveni Rural Municipality- 6 of Salyan district this afternoon. According to District Police Office Salayan, the passenger bus with a number plate Na 5 Kha 531 was heading for Dang from Rukum and plunged some 150 meter down in a stream at around 2.30 pm.

Deceased are identified as Pushpa Khadka KC from Rukum and Chhanchari BK from Salyan. Other two males are yet to be identified. The condition of 11 among the injured is said to be critical. Salyan DSP Bharat Bahadur BK informed that the number of travelers on board is still unknown. Injured are being treated in Model Hospital Srinagar, Kantipur Medical and Khalanga base district hospital. Critically injured were being prepared to airlift to Dang and Banke for further treatment.
