By Rup Narayan Dhakal : Pokhara—The 19th Pokhara Street Festival is undergoing in Pokhara. The five-day long festival was inaugurated the day before at Komagane Park in the shore of Phewa Lake.
More than five dozens of stalls have been installed in the festival that is organized by Restaurant and Bar Association Nepal (REBAN) Pokhara. Promotion of Pokhara in domestic and international market is the key motive of the festival, informed REBAN Pokhara chairman and festival coordinator Mr Chau Bahadur Gurung.
Dozens of cultural tableau from various ethnic groups and mother groups were carried out during the rally that marched from Hallan Chowk to festival opening venue. The festival was inaugurated by lawmaker Rabindra Adhikari including other provincial assembly members.
The festival aims to develop Pokhara as an international destination of round the year. Folk duet songs, musical concerts, boat race, waiter race, tug of war and Children Park are some of the key attractions of the festival that especially covers the part of food, music and culture.
