Pokhara—Rastria Prajatantra Party chairman Kamal Thapa Thursday accused the left alliance of being in a mission of establishing an autocratic communist regime in Nepal.

Addressing an electoral mass meeting organized by his party in Pokhara, Thapa claimed that communist parties wish to finish the democracy in Nepal. “The left alliance wishes to garner 2/3 majority of seats to establish their own autocratic rule, “he added.

Thapa further said that the upcoming polls are fight between democratic forces and autocratic forces. So, according to him, voters should use their maximum level of knowledge before casting their votes. He further added that RPP this time is allying with Nepali Congress to safeguard the democracy.

“We have accepted this federal system as per existing constitution of Nepal but we want to reinstate monarchy by amending this constitution,” Thapa said. He also expressed his dissatisfaction over the secularism of Nepal. Thapa said that there is 81 percent of Hindu in Nepal but announcing Nepal is a secular nation is unfair.
