Pokhara—Two bomb has been hurled targeting a vehicle that was travelling by CPN-MC leader and minister without portfolio Janardan Sharma in Nepal on Friday.
At a time when Nepal is preparing its parliamentary and provincial polls slated for November 26 and December 7, the incident occurred at Goiri of Chaurjhari Municipality- 8, Rukum at around 9 am. According to police, Sharma along with his election publicity team was returning back to Simli of Sani Bheri Rural Municipality from a election rally of Chaurjahari. The bomb was reportedly hurled at targeting the Sharma’s vehicle leaving first one of the caravan.
According to information, one of the two bombs went off in the front part of the Sharma’s vehicle and other one remained unexploded. Nepal Army defused the unexploded bomb that was forged in a can of drink called Red Bul. There is not any information of injury and casualty.
It has not been cleared that who threw that bombs at Sharma’s vehicle however police guessed the anti-election elements was behind that misdeed. Nepal Communist Party Biplav group has been opposing the polls in Nepal and that party’s cadres had also put black flag in Sharma’s house few days ago.
Sher Bahadur KC of CPN-UML leader and Raj Kumar Sharma of CPN-MC leader Rukum district committee have issued a joint press release condemning the incident.
