International paragliding competition to be held in Syangja

Pokhara—The five day long Open International & National Team Selection Paragliding competition is to be held from November 1 at Sworek plain in Nepal’s Syangja district. The competition would select 8 male and 4 female Nepali players for Asian Game 2018-  to be held in Indonesia.

According to organizers Babu Adventure Club and the District Coordination Committee Syangja, a total of 300 players including 200 from Nepal would take part in the competition. A press meet was held in Pokhara to inform about the preparation of competition, in Pokhara on Saturday. The competition includes three categories- Cross country, Accuracy and Tandem.

According to paragliding pilot and Coach Sano Babu Sunuwar, the competition includes three events that are Individual Man, Individual Woman and team (Mix). About 9.1 million rupees of expenses has been projected to hold the competition to be held in Bhirkot- 5 Sworek, Syangja Nepal, informed event coordinator Krishna Jung KC.
