Mamata Joshi crowned Miss Pokhara 2017

Pokhara—Mamata Joshi, 20 of Srijana Chowk Pokhara won the title of Mates International Miss Pokhara 2017 season IX. Joshi who is engaged in nursing profession and also a winner of miss intellectual title received silver crown and Rs 50,000 cash including Yamaha Fascino scooter defeating her 15 contestants.

Punam KC, 23 became first runner up while Simron Gurung, 17 was declared as second runner up. They were given Rs 30,000 and Rs 20,000 as prize money. Simron also won the title of viewers’ choice and miss catwalk.

Likewise, Sanchita Ghimire in miss talent, Sajani Baniya in miss photogenic and miss popularity, Srishti Gurung in miss best smile, Bandana KC in miss best dress, Arpana Sapkota in miss best personality and Sashi Thapa Magar in best hair were also honored during the final of the pageant. Miss Nepal 2000 and VJ Usha Khadgi and media personality Suraz Thapa were the choreographers of the pageant organized by Pokhara Jesis and judged by Dr Aliama John, Dr Chaitanya Adhikari, Uday Bhattarai, Santosh Pokhrel and Narayan Sharma.

The concluding ceremony was inaugurated by Pokhara Lekhnath Metropolitan City Mayor Man Bahadur GC in Pokhara City Hall. Artistes Karna Das, Ram Bhakta Jojiju and Cristal Blues Dance group performed during the event chaired by Pokhara Jesis Chairman Shiva Koirala and hosted by journalist duos GP Timilsina and Laxmi GC.
