Pokhara—Four persons have been arrested in the charge of slaughtering cow belonging to Gopal Pariyar in Pokhara Lekhnath Metropolitan City- 21 on last day.
According to District Police Office Kaski, arrestees are Madan Pariyar, Subash Pariyar, Prabin Nepali and Naba Raj Pariyar. According to information, they butchered a calf along the way to Bhalu Danda. Later, a five-member police team from Chhorepatan Police Station reached there to arrest them following the information of the incident.
Police have claimed that the accused have accepted the crime and police have recovered the head and legs of the calf in the incident site. According to Nepal’s law and the religious provision, slaughtering cow and ox is illegal.
