Kathmandu– Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba reached to New Delhi on his five – day state visit to India. At 11:20 am, the Prime Minister was received by External Affairs Minister of India Sushma Swaraj at the Indira Gandhi International Airport.
Earlier, at 10 am, PM Deuba left for New Delhi – the capital of India – with his spouse and lawmaker Arzu Rana Deuba along with a high level delegation. PM Deuwa who left on a Nepal Airlines’ flight is visiting on India on invitation of his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi. The PM was seen off at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA)’s VVIP lounge by House Speaker Onsari Gharti, Deputy PMs Bijaya Kumar Gachchadar, Krishna Bahadur Mahara and Gopalman Shrestha and top government officials.
On the occasion, Nepal Army (NA) squad offered a Guard of Honour to PM Deuba.It is PM’s first overseas trip after taking charge as the country’s 40th Prime Minister on June 6. He reached New Delhi leading a 50-member delegation comprising Deputy PM and Minister for Foreign Affairs Krishna Bahadur Mahara, other Ministers, Members of Parliament, Secretaries and other high-level government officials.
