Four persons missing in Rasuwa landslide

Rasuwa—At least four persons went missing as landslide buried a house in Rasuwa district last night. Missing are Dharma Bahadur Thapa Magar, 72, his daughter in law Muna Thapa Magar, grandson Rabin Thapa Magar and helper Bhakta Bahadur Nagarkoti, informed Chief District Officer of Rasuwa Chomendra Neupane.

According to District Police Office Rasuwa, the landslide occurred during the incessant rainfall at around 9 pm in Uttargaya Rural Municipality- 4, Pairebesi. Likewise, four other were injured during the incident. Local people, personnel of Nepal Police, Nepal Army, Armed Police Force are busy in rescue operation and they are removing the rubbles.

More 11 houses were buried in the landslide.The rescue operation faced difficulties as the incident occurred at night and the detail of losses due to the incident is yet to be calculated.
