Three of a family killed in rockslide

Kalikot—Three persons of a family were killed and two other injured as a giant rock stampeded the house they were living in Kalikot District last night, District Police Office Kalikot informed.

Two daughters and a son of Uday Sarki have been identified as deceased as his house suffered a rock plunge at Sanni Rural Municipality- 6. According to Police, Lalita Sarki, 13, Kalpana Sarki, 5 and Lanka Sarki, 9 were buried under the house debris as the rock hit the hose’s back.

Uday Sarki, 50 and his wife Belu, 45 sustained injuries and their treatment is undergoing in Kalikot based hospital.
