Six killed in London Bridge attack

London—At least six persons were killed and 30 other injured in a terrorist attack carried out in central London on Saturday night.

Three among the dead are believed to be terrorists. The attack began late Saturday night on London Bridge. According to a statement by Metropolitan police assistant commissioner for specialist operations, Mark Rowley, a vehicle stuck pedestrians before the attack.

Following the obstruction at bridge, three suspects get out the vehicle and dozens of people were stabbed including an on-duty British Transport Police. According to Rowley, the officer was reacting over the attack to the pedestrians but later he was also victimized. Luckily, he didn’t sustain life-threatening injuries.

The incident took place about eight minutes and polices bravely faced the attackers. According to news reports, the attackers also wore the explosive like vests but that found hoax later. British Prime Minister Theresa May said authorities were dealing with a “terrible incident” and London Mayor Sadiq Khan said it was “deliberate and cowardly attack”.
