Pokhara—Main opposition CPN-UML has unveiled its election manifesto for civic polls slated for May 14 and June 14, in Kathmandu on Monday.
The manifesto states that the social security allowance would be increased to Rs 5,000 if the party wins the election. UML also claimed that the party would build oldage homes in every local unit. Likewise, the party also included the matter of giving Rs 5,000 to a woman who delivers infant in government hospital.
The party also claims that the per capita income of Nepali would be taken to USD 5,000 within a period of a decade. 15,000 MW electricity would be generated within a decade, the manifesto claims. The party
also put forward the planning of operating government ship. For that, the talk with India, China and Bangladesh would be carried out.
One household an employment is also a slogan that UML has included in its manifesto. Such plan would be carried out within a period of three years of UML government making. The party also said that there would be created 20 smart cities in Nepal and 9 more metropolitan cities would be announced in Nepal.
