NC Chairman Deuba addresses in Pokhara

Pokhara—Nepali Congress Chairman and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba Wednesday asked his party leaders and cadres to pick such a candidate who has the optimum chance of winning in upcoming local level election.

Addressing a mass meeting of Province number IV in Pokhara, Chairman Deuba warned of punishment if any of his leaders and cadres defy the party decision and gives the rival candidacy. Saying that the local level election is very important matter, Dauba made clear that the right of selecting candidates has been given to the NC district committees. He claimed that his party will win the upcoming local level election.

Deuba also pledged to make elderly allowance double if his party wins the election. He claimed that foreign donors believe NC and give enough money show that his party would be able to make the allowance double. NC senior leader Ram Chandra Paudel, NC leader and Home Minister Bimalendra Nidhi, Gopalman Shrestha, Taranath Ranabhat and NC General Secretary Sashanka Koirala also expressed their remarks during the program.

Earlier, NC leaders and cadres took part in the rallies that reached to Chipledhunga mass meeting from various parts of Pokhara. NC was criticized by some of the media and civic society leaders as it organized such meeting in the road obstructing the regular flow of vehicles and pedestrians.
