SOS’s Deepak wins the title of essay competetion

Pokhara—Deepak Paudel from SOS Gandaki won the title of Inter School Essay Writing Competition organized by Nepal Ex-athlete Forum in Pokhara on Saturday.

Likewise, Karunanidhi Education Foundation’s Jivaran Adhikari became first runner up, while Motherland’s Anisha Lamichhane secured 2nd runner up position in the secondary level essay competition titled Sports for Prosperous and Peace.

Ashmita Parajuli Tarakunja, Bishnu Paudel from KEF, Aakriti Thapa from Chhorepatan Secondary School, Prakriti Thapa from Motherland and Mahima Bhattarai from Baseline Academy were given the consolation prize.

Winner, first runner up and 2nd runner up received Rs 7,000, Rs 5,000 and Rs 3,000 respectively, including medal and certificates. Best essays are to be posted in one of the websites of UN.

162 Students from the schools associated to PABSON and NPABSON took part in the competition organized on the occasion of International Day of Sport for Development and Peace. The event was sponsored by Cosmos International College and assisted by Nepal Olympic Committee.

The event was coordinated by committee member and forum’s first vice chairman Tej Gurung and chaired by forum chairman Khadga Ranabhat.
