Dry landslide claims two in Muglin-Narayangadh road section

Pokhara—Two persons were killed as dry landslide buried them in Muglin-Narayangadh road section of Nepal’s Chitwan district on Monday. According to District Police Office Chitwan, the identification of deceased is yet to be known. The  landslide happened at around 10.45 am this morning.

Two persons were also injured in the landslide. Security personnel and road division staffers cleared the debris from the road that had been occupied some two hundred meters of distance.

According to Chitwan District Traffic Police office landslide buried a total of nine vehicles including five motorcycles, one truck, one tanker, one car including a Tata Mobile vehicle.  Massive boulders were also rolling down along the landslides.

Home Minister Bimalendra Nidhi have ordered concern bodies to make necessary arrangement for the treatment of injured persons. A Nepal Army chopper was also put stand by for rescue purpose.
