Jungle festival undergoing in Pokhara

Pokhara: The 3rd Jungle Festival is undergoing at Santiban Batika- Nayabazaar in Pokhar. The festival was inaugurated by only living person of Kusunda Rajamama the day before.

Expressing his happiness, Rajamama said that he used to live in jungle few year before and used to sleep at the point during when the sun set. He also said that he was feeling like he was a minister of Nepal as he got the chance of opening such a festival organized by Parichaya Nepal.

According to Parichaya Nepal Chairman Sobhit Bashyal, Raute people and Rajamama were the major attractions on the day of opening of the festival. Some 0.l million visitors are projected in the festival. The wild animal masked children were strolling with their guardians in the festival site. Researchers regarding bio-diversity and wildlife were also took part in the 10-day long festival.

Snake dance, magic of Samrat and performance of Ramesh Dulal who can imitate the chirp of more than 170 birds are also included on Friday. One of the shortest men of the world Khagendra Magar’s knife dance, rap singer Girish Khatiwada’s performance and the modeling show at the evening are also the today’s attractions. Restaurants, awareness related stals and food stalls are confined in the festival’s 50 stalls.
