Recentfusion.com—Pokhara: Dipti Tamang from Simpani Pokhara was crowned as Miss Tamang 2017 in Pokhara on Saturday. Dipti, who also got the sub-title of miss talent, received 25,000 rupees of prize from NIC Asia Bank.
Sita Tamang from Lekhnath became first runner up while Aruna Lama from Malepatn was chosen as second runner up in the pageant organized on the occasion of 2853rd Sonam Lhochhar by Baidam Tamang Samaj (BTS). Sita and Aruna also bagged the sub-titles of miss beautiful and miss confident respectively. They bagged 15,000 rupees and 10,000 rupees from same bank.
Manju Tamang from Lekhnath was sub-titled as public choice. She received 7,500 rupees as prize. NIC Asia Bank Regional Manager Dipendra Sharma handed over all the cheques to them, informed event coordinator Jesica Tamang.
Nepal Tamang Ghedung Province IV chairman Deepak Tamang was the jury chief in the contest that was inaugurated by Nepal Tamang Ghedung former president Dhan Prasad Tamang and was chaired by BTS president Jack Tamang. Ram Lama and Srishti Sentury were the choreographers of the contest.
