MMC outplay Dharan FC 4-1

Recentfusion.com—Pokhara: Manag Marshyangdi Club (MMC) stunned Dharan Football Club 4-1 to enter semi-finals of ongoing 15th Aaha Rara Gold Cup Football Tournament here in Pokhara Stadium today.

Man of the match Sujal Shrestha and Anil Gurung both scored brace for MMC. Sujal scored opening goal in 33 minutes and another goal in 63 minutes. Likewise, Anil Gurung scored in 41 and 60 minutes. Sujal created chances for Anil and vice versa to score for MMC. Deepak Rai scored consolation goal in 73rd minute for Dharan FC.

According to MMC coach Tshring Lopsang, the early goal in first half made them easy to win the match. Similarly, rival Dharan’s coach Bikash KC said that his team faced defeat as his some of the boys remained injured and came into pressure by the continuous scoring from the opponent.

Manag, on January 26 will take on the winner of last quarter finals that will be played between CMG Sankata and Farashganj SC Bangladesh on January 24. Tomorrow match will be played between Tribhuwan Army Club and Jhapa 11 FC.
