Recentfusion.com—Pokhara: At least two persons were killed and 50 other injured when a bus carrying picnickers plunged from a bridge above Dudhaura Khola in Pathlaiya-Nijgadh section of Mahendra Highway on Monday.
According to police, the bus with number plate with Na 3 Kha 7668 was heading for Parwanipur of Sarlahi from Sahid Smarak of Hetauda after completing a picnic program. According to Narayani sub-zonal Hospital, deceased are identified as Rabina Bajyu 15 of Parwanipur-1 and Sandesh Basnet 20 from same place.
Injured are being cured in Tarai Hospital of Simara and Gandak Hospital of Birgunj. According to police, the bus plunged some 50 meters down from the bridge. The school family had reached Sahid Smarak for a picnic program to celebrate New Year 2017.
