At least 13 killed in Indonesian military aircraft crash

Recentfusion.com—Indonesia: At least 13 persons were killed as an Indonesian military aircraft crashed in a mountain in the eastern part of the country this morning.

According to the Indonesian military statement, the Hercules C-130 took off from Timika at 5:35 a.m. local time and in schedule to land in Wamena at 6:13 a.m. The crashed military aircraft had found the aircraft in the Lisuwa mountain area of Papua province.

The cause of crash has been said bad weather and the the plane was flying with 12 tons of food supplies and cement from Timika to Wamena, a distance of about 200 kilometers (125 miles), when it met with an accident just minutes before its scheduled touching down, said air force chief of staff Agus Supriatna. There were three pilots and 10 other personnel on board.
