Recentfusion.com—Pokhara: Rastriya Prajatantra Party central Chairman Kamal Thapa said that holding election without addressing disgruntle Tarai base forces would give ineffective result.
Addressing a press meet organized by Media Nepal Kaski on Friday, Chairman Thapa further added that the elections would not be successful politically and practically if Madhesi and Janajatis are not addressed in constitution.
He however said that the government has not formally discussed with RPP about constitution amendment bill that was registered in parliamentary secretariat. Thapa also said that the main opposition CPN-UML should come out from obstructing house so that everything could be discussed in the house.
Chairman Thapa also criticized the CPN-UML for disrupting house proceedings. “Obstruction house is an undemocratic nature of UML.”Thapa said. He suggested all the political parties to sort out all the hurdles from parliamentary discussion postponing the constitution amendment bill for some time.
Saying that the issue of election of local body or local level is not a disputed one, Thapa further said the nation would get new boundaries following the submission of report by the government commission. “Then we have to hold the local level election as per the new provision given by commission.”Thapa said.
Whether RPP sends more ministers to government or not depends up on the behavior of PM Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda. Thapa also made clear that the issue of Hindu nation would be sorted out from the upcoming general convention of his recently united party. He also said that his party is for Hindu nation.
RPP National President Pashupati SJB Rana and RPP senior leader Dr. Prakash Chandra Lohoni also expressed their views n press meet chaired by Media Nepal Kaski president Surya Bastola.
