By Rup Narayan Dhakal—Chitwan: Thousands of travelers have been facing difficulties due to dusts and rough ride as the construction works having slow pace in Muglin-Narayangadh road section. Most of the two wheel riders and others in open vehicles are covered by the layers of dust as they go through this section.

Not only travelers, pedestrians and locals have been facing hard days due to the dusty environment in and around that road. Some of them are suffering from common cold and headache too. Even, their plants and crops are being blanked by the dust that is causing the low output.

In this environment, it takes hours to cross the 36-km road section that used to take around an hour in normal time. The mass of dusts is being the cause of poor visibility that sometime happens to be a reason of road accident too. Long series of vehicles due to jam which is created by construction work irritates the travelers in that two-lane road section.

Bulldozers and excavators seem busy in collapsing hills and road widening tasks that are the major causes behind the dust. Three water tanks have been mobilized to disperse water over the dusty road but they are not enough to calm the dusts in that long road section, informed project engineer Shiva Khanal. There are also dozens of wholes in that road section especially from Aaaptari to Ram Nagar. They also are being the cause of accident in that road section that sees around 7,500 vehicles including 11,000 motorcycles daily.

Some 30 percent of construction work of that section is believed to be completed. The road has been upgrading since April of 2015 and the project expects the job will be completed in August of 2017. Rs. 2,900,000,000 budget is allocated for the enhancement of that road where three construction companies are busy in their job. Few pictures by Recentfusion.com are posted below.
